5 Ways to Prepare Going to the Gym

If you have been on the gym going bandwagon lately - you know that you have to prepare yourself accordingly to have a good gym session that will leave you feeling refreshed and pumped. Consuming enough water after a working out is key to keeping your body healthy and cooled down. We are going to share how we prepare to go to the gym.


1.Create a Workout Playlist

Are the type of person that needs to have music playing whilst working out? No worries, we are that way too. You need that extra motivation that sometimes you can only get from music if you are working out solo. Create your workout playlist on Spotify to keep you pushing your workout goals.

2. Fill Up the Gym Water Bottle

Hydration is key. Fill up your gym water bottle from Hydration Junkie with some ice cold water to help you stay hydrated during your workout and lower your body temperature down after you are done working out. Don’t forget it at home or in the car. You will regret it if you do!

3. Prepare Post Gym Session Snack

After all the hard work you have done at the gym, you made need an energy boost and help you avoid being hangry if it’s been a while since you last ate something. Pack a healthy snack such as a protein bar, fruit or veggies. Keep this snack in your gym bag or locker.

4. Check Group Class Schedules

If you aren’t the type of person that likes to work out alone then you should definitely check out the group workout classes at your gym. Group classes can be a lot of fun and can help you switch up your workout routine so you will get a great work out in!

5. Do Light Stretches Before Going to the Gym

It has been said over and over by trainers that we don’t stretch our bodies out enough. It wouldn’t hurt to do some light stretches before you head to the gym. You don’t have to do this for very long - you can do this for a few minutes before you leave. Get your body extra limber and warm before you do more stretches when you at the gym already.
